Benchmark Appoints Brett Boreing Director of Sales & Marketing at Virginia Crossings Resort

THE WOODLANDS (HOUSTON), TEXAS, February 2005…Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Brett Boreing as director of sales & marketing for Virginia Crossings Resort, a AAA Four Diamond property located in Richmond, Virginia. Scott Spurlock, general manager, made the announcement.

Mr. Boreing was most recently director of sales & marketing for Benchmark's Northland Inn located in Minneapolis. An experienced sales & marketing professional, Boreing was previously director of sales for The Founders Inn, a Benchmark property located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and sales manager at Cheyenne Mountain Resort of Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he began his career with Benchmark. In February of 2003, Boreing was recognized as Benchmark Hospitality's Sales Leader of the Year.

Brett Boreing launched his career in hospitality working in the restaurant industry, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including general manager.

Boreing has received numerous honors for his community involvement and business success, including an appointment as lobbyist for the Wyoming Restaurant Association; committee member for the American Diabetes Association, Cheyenne Chapter; and Mayor for the Day of Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is a graduate of Northwest Community College, located in Powell, Wyoming. Mr. Boreing and his family reside in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
